WORKSHOP: KINTSUGI at MUJI STOCKHOLM // 25th July 2022

8th Jul 2022

It is finally time for our long awaited Kintsugi workshop to make a return. This time we will be doing it in collaboration with MUJI ÅHLÉNS CITY STOCKHOLM on the fourth floor of Åhléns City.

Kintsugi is traditional Japanese art of repairing broken items (usually pottery) with gold, giving them new life and turning them into art pieces. Traditionally kintsugi is done with lacquer which is a very expensive and time-consuming process - usually taking months to complete one piece. With our modern kintsugi repair kit you can get the beautiful look of golden cracks in a way that is both fast and durable. Instead of throwing away your broken objects they can be upcycled and you can continue using them in your everyday life.

Since the last time we did the workshop we have replaced the kintsugi kit with a brand new version from CHIYU. Their Kintsugi Bio Repair Kit uses a unique BIO resin which is food safe, dishwasher proof and works on ceramic, stone, glass and wood. A box of CHIYU Kintsugi Bio Repair Kit: Gold is included in your ticket. It has enough material to repair 8-10 items and you take the kit home with you after the workshop.

The kit includes the following

  • 1 x 10ml Bio resin
  • 1 x 10ml Bio hardener
  • 1 x Epoxy putty
  • 1 x Premium Gold mica powder
  • 4 x Bio disposable mixing spatulas
  • 2 x Bio disposable bamboo sticks
  • 2 x Compostable mixing lids
  • 2 x Sandpaper
  • 1 x Brush
  • 1 x Wooden chisel
  • 1 x Set of biodegradable gloves
  • 1 x Linen gift bag

The workshop is scheduled for about 2 hours. Please bring with you a broken item that you wish to mend and we will help guide you during the process.
